Following acceptance of your resume, you will be interviewed remotely to ensure that you understand the position and to detail what you can expect your life to be like as a consultant. We discuss the necessary rigors of travel, the challenges of striking an appropriate work/life balance, and the many rewards of the career. The second personal interview is conducted with a principal or senior manager within the firm to ascertain your initial fit with KT’s culture.
If both you and KT decide to move forward with your candidacy, you will be asked to participate in panel interviews at one of our regional offices. This final step in the application process includes a series of panel interviews, case studies, and a presentation.

We are a multi-national management consulting and training company headquartered in Princeton, NJ. For over 60 years, we have proudly provided services to valued clients in a myriad of different industries including manufacturing, pharma, technology, and the energy market. We address the functional areas of operations, maintenance, quality control, human resources, and technical support in these market segments. Typical engagements include business process improvement, step change improvement and service-related problem and incident management projects.

As the charismatic independent contractor that we seek, you will work with our clients to improve their operations. To do so, you’ll be combining your industry experience, newly acquired expertise (using our proprietary methodology) and a clear understanding of client business issues. We will depend on you to quickly learn and assimilate new ideas and information, then synthesize and apply that knowledge to deliver a solution for our clients all the while developing a mastery to train groups and teams in problem resolution. Your work will be done both independently and with other consultants who are assigned to a project. In the process you will assist in business development as well as expand the KT brand in the marketplace.
During an intensive one-month onboarding process, you will be exposed to the approach and application of our core methodologies. As necessary, we will provide ongoing capability development opportunities to master the application and leadership of all of our technologies.
- Experience in group facilitation and/or training in problem resolution
- 5 years’ minimum experience in either; Service Operations, Manufacturing Operations, or Human Resources
- Experience in the industries of Automotive, IT & Communications (including Financial Services), Pharmaceuticals & Medical Technologies preferred
- Demonstrated leadership and involvement in addressing complex, business-critical issues
- Successful management of operations projects including production improvement initiatives and change management
- Experience in managing team alignment of siloed departments to produce successful outcomes
- Understanding of current management principles and practices (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, ITIL or other related industry practices)
- Knowledge of and experience with the application of KT’s core thinking processes a plus
- Spanish or French fluency is strongly preferred
- A successful professional in your current field
- Maintain the legal needs of an independent business
- Manage & maintain business equipment to conduct “in-person” and virtual sessions

Our Consultants will sell and deliver training and operational improvement engagements. To do so, you will need to combine prior industry and functional experience, acquired expertise around the application of our proprietary methodology and an understanding of client business issues. We will depend on you to deliver our services, establish strong relationships, develop new business and extend KT’s brand in the marketplace.
You will identify, develop and nurture strong relationships with KT’s clients. Leveraging your experience in consulting or training, you will help determine ways to apply KT’s services to your clients’ toughest problems – whether it’s improving product quality, increasing operational effectiveness, or taking an enterprise approach to embed KT’s proprietary Problem Solving and Decision-Making methodology. KT’s solutions work because they are research-backed and stand the test of time. KT consultants are empowered to manage the end-to-end customer relationship – from cultivating new relationships and accounts, to working with internal consultants to design and negotiate win-win engagements with our clients. Role model KT thinking processes
Manage the overall business development process on new and existing accounts, build new client relationships and create strong partnerships between KT and our clients.
Introduce KT services and solutions to our clients, through meetings, RFP responses, attend industry conferences and presentations that show how our service offerings meet client needs.
Apply account management principles and practices to ensure KT provides services that help our clients improve business performance, and create successful, long term partnerships with KT.
Develop new clients in targeted markets
Develop relationships with various levels within client organization.
Update sales systems that generate forecast and sales performance reports.
Deliver client training, facilitation and coaching as needed.
Leverage on social media for positioning and creating sales opportunities.
Education / Qualifications
Possession of a Bachelor’s degree is essential
Possession of an MBA or other relevant higher qualification or progression towards obtaining such a qualification would be seen as desirable
Minimum 7 years working experience, including preferably experience in a professional services setting, such as management consulting, technology consulting, or a leadership/technical training firm.
A leadership and business mindset, with a track record of accomplishment via promotions and recognition.
Experience in a business development, account management or sales-oriented role (Demonstrated business acumen)

Be self-motivated, possess strong time management skills and be able and willing to work on your own when necessary; strive in ambiguity
