Working with KT
Accelerated Process Improvement
We collaborate
with clients to improve operational performance using Accelerated
Process Improvement, a focused model that brings about rapid, targeted
change. This approach achieves specific results through step-change
operational improvements.
Once an area is targeted for improvement,
we work with clients to confirm the gap between current level of
performance and the target level, quickly establish open communication
channels about the work that will be done within a specific timeframe,
and we help you assemble a multi-disciplinary project team.
Improvement
opportunities are identified, quantified, prioritized and selected.
This is done through a combination of employee interviews, historical
performance analysis and plant studies (such as bottleneck or system
constraint analysis or other studies such as machine utilization
studies, day-in-the-life, meeting process, performance system,
planning and control, or others). Once the improvement opportunity
has been selected, if needed, project skills are developed within
the team and then a project plan and reporting systems are established.
The KT/client project team implements the improvement project
and monitors progress. Additional opportunities for embedding change
into systems and procedures are identified, planned and implemented.
Finally, a formal closeout documents the project and changes, identifies
any additional improvement opportunities, and concludes the project.
Success develops a hunger for continuous improvement. Kepner-Tregoe
projects provide the foundation for major organizational initiatives
by providing a structure for change.
